For the months of February and March I was busy participating on the Stash Contest on Pattern Review. I have lurked on that site for years and finally jumped in by joining the contest. I knew I won’t win, but just wanted to see what I could do. Below are the results:
Two T-shirts out of bamboo interlock: 4 yards
Two Jalie Scarf shirts: 4 yards
One suit (Loes Hines Jacket and Kwik Sew Pants): 5 yards
Chenille Jacket: 2 yards
Kwik Sew Jacket: 2 yards
Marcy Tilton T-shirt: 2 yards
Total Garments Sewn: 9
Total Yards used: 19
At the end of March I was working on a pair of Jalie stretch woven pants but couldn’t quite get them finished. All and all I am amazed at what I did in 60 days. During that time I also went to Expo and welcomed a Janome CoverPro into the sewing room. We are still bonding, but all of the knit shirts have coverstitched hems. I also taught myself how to use the bind hem stitch on my sewing machine.
My closet is fuller, but sadly my stash does not seem smaller. Maybe it is because I bought more fabric along the way…
